An adaptation of the show Trans-Warhol, and more particularly of this pas de deux between Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, a reflection on violence that captures the tensions and dynamics perceived between them. Blending the motifs of boxing and battle, which speak of conflict, resilience and dynamism, with the Pop aesthetic, this poetic battle seizes Andy Warhol’s legacy and reinterprets it.

Like the Hip Hop battle, boxing does not simulate life, it is life: natural, raw, uncompromising. Few sports combine intimacy, physical exposure and vulnerability so well. Its theatricality, its expressiveness and its staging bring the practice close to a form of art. Boxing had its golden age in ancient Greece, integrated into the panhellenic festivals then, from 688 BCE, into the Olympic Games.

In an immersive 360 degree set design, ten artists from different worlds, Krump, Hip Hop, Breaking, Contemporary, Parkour, Tricking, Skateboard, Spoken word, open the dialogue on equal terms, to explore their personal heritage, share it, invent a common language and offer the audience a sensitive vision of the battle.
